Anthony Kerrigan, Director at Kerrigans Property

Anthony Kerrigan

Director

Anthony has worked full-time in property sales and lettings since 1993 and has built a reputation for straightforward advice, extensive knowledge, and a practical approach to helping clients solve problems.

He holds Level 4 qualifications in both Sales and Lettings and is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and a Fellow of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Over the years, Anthony has helped everyone from first-time landlords with a single property to experienced investors building and managing substantial property portfolios. Having worked across sales, lettings, insurance, property management and investment, he brings a wealth of knowledge that clients often find invaluable.

Although he is not a solicitor, accountant, surveyor or builder, clients regularly turn to him for guidance on a wide range of property-related matters. He is just as comfortable helping someone navigate an insurance claim as he is discussing a planning application for an extension, garage conversion or a new en-suite. Whilst he no longer arranges insurance, his 30+ years of experience advising on property risk remain a valuable asset.

Anthony considers one of his greatest strengths to be helping homeowners maximise the value and impact of property improvements while staying within budget. Having inspected thousands of properties and worked alongside tradespeople for decades, he is known for spotting issues and identifying practical solutions. As he modestly puts it, he's not a tradesperson, simply "Lay Person+".

Born with a congenital heart condition called Bicuspid Aortic Valve, he was unaware of the condition until the age of 41. (Just two years later, he faced the life-changing decision to undergo valve replacement surgery. More than 12 years on, aside from a surgical scar and an irrating audible tick, every time the valve opens and shuts, he remains fighting fit and enjoys an active lifestyle. (2% of the population are born with the same issue, most don’t ever found out, until too late, but Arnold Schwarzengar had the same issue and he did alright 😊)

Outside of work, Anthony is a retired canoeist and climber, enjoys the occasional game of golf and tennis, and can often be found training for a triathlon when the weather is kind. As a newly qualified running coach, he also helps Sam lead the local "Slow Patrol" running group.

Anthony has always believed in giving back to the community and has volunteered extensively over the years, including:

Zoe Kerrigan, Director at Kerrigans Property

Zoe Kerrigan

Anthony and Zoe first met at a Scout and Guide Jamboree in 1996, where both were volunteering as Young Leaders. What started as a friendship grew into a lifelong partnership, leading to marriage, family, and eventually working together in the family business.

In 2002, Zoe joined the company, Level 3 Qualified in Lettings, she oversees rent collection, supports tenants who may be experiencing financial difficulties, helps them manage their budgets when times are tough, and ensures landlords and contractors are paid promptly. In short, she's the person who keeps everything running smoothly and is arguably the most important member of the team!

Zoe continues to volunteer with Rainbows, Brownies and Guides & has served as a Division Commissioner for Doncaster South Division.

If you've ever spoken to our office, there's a good chance Zoe has helped make your experience a positive one. 😊

Victoria Cooke

Victoria Cooke

Negotiator

If you've spoken to Victoria, you'll quickly understand why she's such an important part of Kerrigans.

Her story with us began in 2002 at just 16 years old when the Head of 6th Form from a local school contacted Anthony directly. Knowing him through his role as a school governor and a previous past pupil of the same school; she asked if there were any opportunities available for a bright sixth-former who wasn't particularly suited to traditional education but was intelligent, determined and a genuine go-getter.

Thankfully, the answer was yes.

More than two decades later, Victoria, now married and a mother of two young women holds a Level 3 qualification in Sales and has extensive experience across both sales and lettings. Her deep knowledge of the local property market, outstanding customer service and ability to navigate complex situations with calm professionalism make her an invaluable asset to our clients.

Anthony often describes Victoria as his female "Mini Me" because they share the same values, work ethic, commitment to clients and passion for delivering exceptional service.

Having spent her entire adult career with Kerrigans, Victoria has grown alongside the business and played a major role in shaping who we are today. To our clients, she's trusted, knowledgeable and dependable. To us, she's simply the rock of the business.

Sam Marriott

Sam Marriott

Negotiator

Sam became a tenant of Kerrigans in 2017 with her teenage boy. At the time Sam was twice the lady she is now, peaking at 27 stones suffering with Fibromyalgia she made a decision to change, after a Gastric Bypass she started with exercise, she knew Anthony was into fitness and consulted him for some pointers, with calm determination she literally became half the woman she was, whilst she still has flares of Fibromyalgia she has managed to remove the biggest peaks. Within 6 months she had beat all of Anthony running personal bests and not content with that, she created a vacuum within her friendship circle and aided and assisted friends and family in their own health discovery. At that point Anthony recognized her organisational skills and offered her part-time work, which quickly became a full time job.

Sam plays a vital role in keeping everything organised and moving in the right direction. On a typical day, you'll find her in the office coordinating activities, supporting clients, and ensuring the business runs smoothly. However, she's equally happy rolling up her sleeves when required, whether that's helping to clean, collecting materials and tools, or offering a valuable "lay person's perspective" when the team is snagging and reviewing multi-trade projects.

One of Sam's greatest strengths is her ability to combine organisation, common sense, and enthusiasm in everything she does. Her practical outlook and attention to detail make her an invaluable member of the team.

Outside of work, Sam has become a passionate advocate for fitness and wellbeing, particularly running. Having started her own journey through the Couch to 5K programme five years ago, she quickly discovered a love for running that extended far beyond personal achievement.

Not content with simply improving her own fitness, Sam founded "Slow Patrol", a welcoming local running group designed to help beginners and reluctant runners gain confidence and enjoy exercise at their own pace. The group now meets bi-weekly and has introduced more than 200 people, aged from 7 to 75, to the benefits of running, fitness, and community.

Alongside her many talents, Sam also holds a Law degree, proving that determination and commitment have always been a part of her character. Whether she's organising the team, encouraging new runners, helping with projects, or supporting the wider community, Sam brings energy, intelligence, and positivity to everything she does.
